SkinFix Barrier+ Skincare Review (Cruelty-Free Clean Beauty Brand)

Skinfix Inc. is dermatologically tested and endorsed brand, whose results stand up to the claims. They see their brand as ‘clean, clinically proven, board-certified dermatologist endorsed skincare,’ and they certainly have fantastic products to try.

And who can resist that mesmerizing blue? (Yes, I know they have products in other packaging colours… but that is a review for another day!)

skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream

Pai Skincare Review (Cruelty-Free, Certified Organic, Vegan, Natural, Clean) - Moisturizer, Serum, Cream, Facial Oil, Eye Cream, Cleanser

This cream won the Allure Best of Beauty award in 2019, and it was well deserved!

This is Skinfix’s best (in my opinion) face cream. It’s highly effective, and leaves skin looking smooth and hydrated. Despite the deep hydration, it’s easy to apply, and is surprisingly lightweight for a product of its kind. However, I would still recommend applying it in the nighttime, as it can be quite heavy during the day under makeup and SPF.

Rather than a traditional scoop-your-product bottle, this cream comes with a pump dispenser. This may or may not be to your liking, but it does make removing the product feel more sanitary. Mine worked well, and didn’t break.

On top of all that good stuff, some of the claims of this cream are: allergy tested & pH balanced, cruelty free & vegan, and noncomedogenic. Not too shabby, eh?

Overall, this is a great cream for those seeking extreme hydration. It’s an excellent choice for nighttime application, especially during the winter months!

Star Ingredients: Triple Lipid Complex (lipids + fatty acids), Lily Root Extract (tightening)

Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Hyaluronate Serum

Skinfix Barrier+ has a great option for a hyaluronic acid-based serum.

This serum is lightweight, yet highly moisturizing. One of it’s best features is it’s quick absorption. It quickly leaves skin ready for cream, makeup, and SPF.

Rather than the jelly-like texture of other hyaluronic acid products, the Barrier+ Hyaluronate Serum feels more smooth, light, and soothing.

A bonus for me is that it’s fragrance free. In spite of this, the scent is still light and pleasant. I appreciate products that leave out the nasties that might irritate my skin.

My only real qualm is price for the amount of product you receive - its deceptively less than the package would have you believe.

There are other hyaluronic serums on the market at a lower price point. This one is unique in regards to its texture. It definitely works, so the ‘worth it’ factor of the price depends on your priorities!

Skinfix Barrier+ Foaming Clay Cleanser

This cleanser is an effective face wash for oily and acne prone skin.

It delivers a deep clean, while still not stripping my skin of too much moisture. It also effectively removes most traces of makeup - yay!

During the pandemic, it has definitely been helpful to keep maskne at bay. There is very little scent, and it’s very non-irritating.

In general, this is a great product for those dealing with spotty skin. It’s worth a try!

Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Boost 360° Brightening Eye Cream

I used this eye cream during a period of time when I had very dry eyes, that became irritated at the drop of a hat. It was both gentle and non-irritating, which was a huge relief.

The Barrier+ Triple Lipid Boost 260° Brightening Eye Cream is a good product that delivers lightweight yet effective moisture to the delicate eye area. While it does this well, I didn’t find it did anything outside of the realm of hydration.

One big plus was that it was absorbed quickly, and was perfect under other products.

In general, this was not a revolutionary product in the sphere of eye creams. However, it was adequately moisturizing, non-irritating, and was a nice cream on top of which to apply makeup and SPF.

Star Ingredients: Seaweed Hyaluronate Blend (plumping), Saccharomyces Ferment (targets dark circles)
