Top 5 Best Lush Facemasks
It’s hard to fault Lush Cosmetics, given its strong stance on issues of sustainability, fair-trade sourcing, and eco-friendly practices.
Lush is also known for some of its fantastic face and body masks, which both smell swell, and work well. Here is a list of my favourite Lush Cosmetics facemasks, that I would recommend for all skin types! Enjoy.
Catastrophe Cosmetic
Is your skin looking somewhat catastrophic?
Forgot cosmetic treatments, and instead slather on this nourishing cream full of calming ingredients and antioxidants.
The key ingredients in this cleansing face mask are blueberries, calamine powder, rose absolute, and chamomile blue oil. It’s certainly nutrient-rich, and it aims to soothe and calm irritated skin. The biggest plus for me is that it doesn’t disturb my sensitive skin!
Overall, Catastrophe Cosmetic smells great, and works great!
Mask of Magnaminty
There is a reason Lush’s Mask of Magnaminty is their best-selling face and body mask!
This mask tingles in just the right way, while also whisking away pesky dirt and oil from your pores. The reason? A blend of peppermint oil and kaolin clay.
Ground aduki beans are also added, to help with exfoliation. They’re definitely effective, but they’re a bit strong for those with sensitive skin, so be mindful!
Vanilla and honey round out the scent profile, while also helping to soothe and calm the skin. In general, this is a great mask that is a visceral pleasure to use. It’s a Cult Classic, and well worth trying!
Brazened Honey
I shall brazenly suggest another kaolin clay based mask: Brazened Honey. This mask helps clear and cleanse complexions without stripping them of vital moisture.
This mask was inspired by Ayurvedic medicine (an alternative medicine doctrine that originates in the Indian subcontinent). As a result, it includes anti-inflammatory herbs like cardamon, ginger, fennel, and turmeric.
This mask also has ground almonds to aid in exfoliation, so do be mindful of that if you are allergic to nuts!
Otherwise, it’s a unique and yummy-smelling mask that does wonders for congested skin.
Cosmetic Warrior
For those with sensitive acne-prone and congested skin, make sure to try out Cosmetic Warrior!
This gentle mask uses tea tree oil, honey, and garlic to help combat blemishes in a gentle manner. Vampire aficionados need not be alarmed, as the garlic scent is barely noticeable!
Overall, I really like this mask in the winter months, when my skin is more sensitive, but still needs help with pesky breakouts!
Cup o’ Coffee
My mouth (and energy levels) love a cup o’ coffee, and as it turns out, my skin does, too!
This face and body mask is a powerful scrub and cleanser. It uses coffee and coffee grounds to invigorate tired skin, and exfoliate any pesky dead skin cells.
This particular mask has my favourite scent. It uses actual coffee grounds, and as a result, smells fantastic. I personally like to use it in the morning, as the scent gives me a little boost.
